This Obama Organizing Fellow Needs to Know where to Go

Wed May 28, 2008 at 05:46:10 PM PDT

Hey all.  If you couldn't tell by the title, I've been accepted into the Obama Organizing fellowship.  This means that I'll be spending time in a swing state for about five weeks this summer.  Since I'm from Orange County, CA (a red dot in a blue ocean), I'll be traveling to someplace in which I can make an actual difference.

There several states from which to chose from, and I need your input about which state would be the best.  Here's the list.

Colorado
Florida
Georgia
Iowa
Michigan
Missouri
North Carolina
New Hampshire
New Jersey
New Mexico
Nevada
Ohio
Oregon
Pennsylvania
Virginia
Washington
Wisconsin

I'm pretty surprised to see both Washington and New Jersey on the list since both seem like pretty deep blue states.  I'm also quite surprised to see Georgia.  With Barr's candidacy and a possible Nunn VP, I'm thinking the Obama campaign sees something.  Personally, I'm leaning towards New Hampshire or Virginia, but I'll go wherever I'm needed.  I'd love some inside information from locals about what the ground game looks like in their state.  So guys, where should I go?
